1. Who We Are

Capplyn ("we," "us," "our") is an app-building service operated by Capplyn LLC. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use capplyn.com and our related services.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored as a hash — we never see your actual password). If you sign up with a third-party provider (Google, Apple), we receive your name and email from that provider.

App Project Data

When you use the wizard, we store your responses (app name, description, features, design choices, etc.) to build your app. This includes any text, images, or content you provide during the wizard process.

Developer Credentials

To publish your app, we collect Apple Developer and/or Google Play credentials. These are stored encrypted and used solely to build and submit your app on your behalf. We never share your credentials with third parties.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full card details. Stripe provides us with a customer ID and subscription status — nothing more. See Stripe's privacy policy for how they handle payment data.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage analytics (pages visited, features used, build status) to improve the service. We do not track you across other websites.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Build, compile, and publish your app as directed by you
  • Process payments and manage your subscription
  • Send transactional emails (build status, account changes)
  • Improve our service based on aggregate usage patterns
  • Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your app ideas, designs, or content for any purpose other than building your app.

4. AI Processing

Capplyn uses AI services (currently Anthropic's Claude) to generate code, designs, and content for your app. Your wizard responses and chat messages are sent to these AI providers for processing. These providers have their own data handling policies, but we do not permit them to train on your data.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — authentication and database
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Anthropic — AI code and content generation
  • Expo / EAS — app building and compilation
  • GitHub — source code hosting for your app
  • Vercel — website hosting
  • Recraft — app icon generation

Each service only receives the minimum data necessary for its function.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Generated app code stored in GitHub repositories remains under your control (see our Terms of Service for ownership details).

7. Your Rights

You can:

  • Access your data by viewing your account and project details
  • Delete your account and associated data by contacting us
  • Export your app's source code from the GitHub repository we create for you
  • Opt out of non-essential emails

If you're in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

9. Children

Capplyn is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via email or a notice on our website. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
